We Matteucci have chosen to treat exclusively the truffles belonging to the most valuable species: the "melanosporum Vitt.", the "magnatum Pico", the "aestivum" and the "brumale". We collect the delicious black truffles in the areas of Norcia and Spoleto in the winter and on the Sila plateau in the summer, and we look for the precious white truffle in the areas of Alba.
Each of our truffles is collected in selected natural truffle fields, carefully chosen and classified according to the shape, grain, scent, degree of ripeness and level of processing required. Ours is a manual quality control, done one by one. Fresh, frozen or preserved. Whole or ground or, in the case of preserved food only, even in flakes. We serve it in the most suitable way for the purposes and needs of each one, always in strict compliance with the identity characteristics of our philosophy: the high quality of a product that boasts its intrinsic authenticity and that does not undergo any alteration by adding essences or preservatives. Just a pinch of salt and, possibly, a drizzle of our best extra virgin olive oil.
